Duly authorised and controlled by the Ministry of Agriculture, Viveros Citroplant, S.L. is a Citrus Nursery dedicated to the production of citrus saplings with sadness-tolerant roots and virus-free grafts. In order to obtain saplings of the highest quality, Viveros Citroplant, S.L. employs the most up-to-date technologies, both in fertigation and in its planting work and techniques. |
Planting in ground. Even though this system is well-known to everyone, we would nevertheless point out that Viveros Citroplant, S.L. uses advanced irrigation systems with which we control the humidity depth, thereby achieving a root system which abounds in absorption roots. |
Hydroponic planting: After having invested in an I+D programme, Viveros Citroplant S.L. began hydroponic planting in 1997, and has pioneered the introduction of this new technique.

Our installations are fitted with cutting-edge technology which allows us to use hydroponics for 60% of our production. There are many advantages to planting saplings in a hydroponic medium, but what is most important is that the failure percentage is zero, and as well as obtaining uniformity throughout the plantation from the outset, growth in the first few years is much superior. |
