Montecitrus S.A.T. produces its own fruit, which is currently grown on 600 hectares of land, and a 100-hectare expansion is expected in the near future.
The technical department bases its growing systems and techniques on compliance with the quality criteria established by the company, obtaining high quality produce in every parameter, such as the ripeness, durability and consistency index, optimal sizes, colours, flavours, etc.
To this end, internal and external audits are conducted in application of the GLOBAL GAP and PRODUCCIÓN ECOLÓGICA (Organic Produce) protocol systems, which are fully implemented in all the production processes.
Due to the location of our facilities, we have a special climate for citrus production, with mild temperatures in both summer and winter, but a winter break that is long enough to allow for optimal production in every parameter. |
